  • The second power plant of Sogi Electric Company constructed in 1909 by Shitagau Noguchi, founder of Chisso. Water tubes can be seen behind the building. This plant supplied Shin-Nihon Chisso Hiryo in Minamata with electricity.
  • The ruins of Chisso Sogi Power Plant at the bottom of a lake. It appears from April-September when the water level of Tsuruda Dam (located 9 kilometers downstream from the plant) is lowered. It was designated as a registered tangible cultural property in 2006, and as a Heritage of Industrial Modernization in 2007.
