水俣学研究センター

2016年9月10日、シンポジウム“Minamata@60: Learning from Industrial Disaster towards Sustainable Society and Environment”（水俣病60年～産業災害の教訓・持続可能な社会を目指して）をタイ・チュラロンコン大学、Chaloem Rajakumari 60 Building7FホールでChulalongkorn University, National Health 　Commission Office of Thailand, Ecological Alert and Recovery-Thailand,水俣病協働センター、水俣学研究センターの共催で開催しました。
日本から参加した坂本しのぶ（胎児性水俣病患者）さんが、自身の水俣病被害の経験を報告し、シンポジウムはスタートしました。水俣学研究センターから、田㞍が「60 years of Fetal Minamata Disease Patients」、花田センター長「Lessons from the history of Minamata disease, and current challenges in the international community」、宮北現地研究センター長「Minamata incident and “social consensus” building for realizing a sustainable local society」、中地事務局長「On Minamata onvention–international law to protect environment from Mercury oisoning」と続けて報告を行いました。タイ国内からも研究者や当事者、NGO幅広く報告があった。
水俣から胎児性水俣病患者の江口さん、水俣病共働センターから谷さん2人も参加した。また、会場には2007年以来交流が続いているMTP工業団地隣接地域のノイ・ジャイタイ氏やルーイの住民の方々の参加もありました。活発な意見交換ができた国際シンポジウムでした。この様子はタイ国内のメディア各局で放送されました。

また、研究助手の井上が当センターHPのアーカイブ用にタイ訪問の期間記録をとっているので、今後順次公開していく予定です。
